May 6: Mixed Rep at the Butte

Friday, May 6, 2011: Please join us at 7 p.m. at the Butte Theater, 139 E. Bennett Ave. in Cripple Creek, as the Cresson Dance Company and the CCV Junior/Senior High School dancers team up to present a delightfully diverse night of dance, ranging from the technically demanding classical-style choreography of Stacy Smith's Water Music to the hip-hop swagger of new creations by Dara Watkins and the contemporary fun of Dana Richardson's Good Night(mare). This ride also swings through the realms of classic rock and romantic-era divertissements from Sleeping Beauty. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted.

May 7: So you think you can Cresson Dance!

Saturday, May 7, 2011: Along with some of the dances from the May 6 concert, this 6 p.m. Saturday show includes local celebrities competing in an epic edition of So You Think You Can Cresson Dance! We've got the returning champs – Mickey Burdick with Michael and Alex Peterson – along with the lovely ladies Morgan Gengo and Leslie Grenfell, couples dancing by John and Tracy Carroll, and plenty more. We'll have a lot of laughs, catered food, libations and door prizes at this event, our biggest fundraiser of the year. Come at 6 p.m. for hor d'ouevres and wine. Butte Theater, 139 E. Bennett Ave. in Cripple Creek. Admission is $10 for adults and $7.50 for kids 12 and under.

May 9: Lake George Charter School

Monday, May 9, 2011: Our dancers travel to Lake George Charter School, 37888 US Highway 24 in Lake George, for a 10 a.m. performance. Admission is free.

May 9: Gateway Elementary School

Monday, May 9, 2011: Our dancers travel to Gateway Elementary School, 101 N. Baldwin St. in Woodland Park, for a 2 p.m. performance. Admission is free.

May 11: Cripple Creek/Victor Junior-Senior High School

Wednesday, May 11, 2011: Our dancers perform at the Fine Arts Night at Cripple Creek/Victor Junior-Senior High School, 410 North B St. in Cripple Creek, at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

May 18: Cresson Elementary School

Wednesday, May 18, 2011: The Cresson Dance Company and the high school group join all students in the Cresson Dance Program in a show at our home base, Cresson Elementary School, 412 North C St. in Cripple Creek, for a 2 p.m. performance. Admission is free.

May 19: Cresson Elementary School
