The annual spring performances for 2010 feature the return of our full length Peter and the Wolf, which uses music from the ballet to describe the characters in the story. The selection In the Wake of the Wind, along with several solos, are the classical representations of our program. Three new pieces by guest choreographers Dara Watkins, Dana Richardson and Laurie Sutton bring Hip-Hop, Modern and Tap genres to the show.

The Cresson Dance Company will perform at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 7 and 8, at the Butte Opera House, 139 E. Bennett Ave. in Cripple Creek. The shows are free and open to the public.

All students of the Cresson Dance Program will be performing at the Cresson Elementary School Spring Performances at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Cresson Elementary. These shows will also feature a choreographic workshop of original peices by selected dancers.
